We Are 778 were commissioned by Southampton Football Club’s ‘Halo Conferences & Events’ to propose editorial design, which promoted growth in agency bookings for Corporate Events. Service promotion had to present content that championed expertise in performance; turning potential into excellence; aligning outcomes / experiences with that of professional athletes.

Halo Conferences & Events base is St Mary’s Stadium – home of Southampton Football Club. Our creative team set out to achieve the set objectives via a graphic system, which was identifiable with the athletes and their sporting institution. Club heraldry has long been synonymous with a sense of place and club ideals, and acted as our jumping point for initial idea generation.

Elements of this graphic device were analysed and disassembled, with design behaviours in mind. Once inherited by our layout design, it became clear the outcomes promoted a sense of energy and dynamism – achieved through sophisticated type setting and styling; subliminal visual cues nodding to the existing brand; relevant, modern photo effects.
