The Frampton Arms, Moreton, Dorchester is an establishment that has stood since the mid 1840s. First built to celebrate the opening of the Railway Station directly opposite, it is now part of the 777 Hotels Ltd portfolio. Its rustic charm needed to be aligned with a commercial rebrand, due to the establishment being refurbished with a fresh interior style – including leather chairs, Chesterfield sofas, tartan carpets and Taxidermy.
The commissioner requested a brand mark that respected both a sense of heritage and location. Our design team explored a series of logo marks, which adopted visual cues from the pubs existing signage (a nod to the Frampton Family heraldry) as well as the new decor.
Old English appeal was achieved, with iconography carefully selected to match the ‘Hunters Lodge’ theme and Gastro Game menu of The Frampton Arms free house. Graphic Systems were also produced for interior fabrics – creating an official Frampton’s Tartan.
This new look and commercial voice will help to promote The Frampton Arms as a ‘destination country pub’, for local commuters and visitors from ‘the city’.
